“Balloon Boy”: Parents’ 911 call - Real or staged?

An uncensored, uncut (except for intervening periods of silence) recording of the 911 emergency call placed by the Heenes, claiming that their six-year-old son Falcon was carried away in the family’s home-made helium ballon craft. Released by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office. Was this a geniune plea for help or part of an elaborate hoax / publicity stunt? You decide.

Hot Air Balloon Flight For The Gold, San Francisco Bay 1987

In 1987 Cellular One, (en.wikipedia.org ) to boost awareness of their service in the Bay Area, (as well as raise money for the US Olympics) staged a balloon flight over San Francisco Bay. The first part of this clip is a promotional video made prior to the event, the second is a re-cut after the flight using the same audio but reflecting the soggy conditions actually encountered.
