Tribute to Burt Dodge & FLYER

another old friend, Burt Dodge. I met Burt in 1986 when he came to Lakehurst to convert the McDonald’s blimp to the SeaWorld blimp. Burt had painted billboards and other large art projects…but never a blimp! He had the innate ability to understand that the blimp curves in 2 dimensions and placed the lettering and logo on the airship by hand! Burt came back a year later and changed the blimp to the first of many Snoopy blimps for MetLife. Burt has now been responsible for painting 22 blimps …
